This past family night we decided to make smores with the kids--this was the first time we let the twins "help" make their own. It was a bit chilly outside so everyone had a good time gathering around the fire and watching their marshmallows turn a nice golden brown. (Except for Andrew's--he always sticks it right into the fire and burns it to a crisp in the first 5 seconds :) I always need to remind myself that memories are more important than schedules and clean children--because this particular night I had kids that went to bed way too late and a bit sticky but they felt very happy and very loved and that, to me, is the most important thing of all.

How fun! I keep telling Brian I want to get one of those outside fire things. So great. :)
