I took the big kids up to the mountians today to do a little skiing. They both did really well--Andrew was a bit of a dare devil in the morning and then became suddenly overly cautious after falling one time. It was Andrew's 3rd time skiing and Emily's second (long story) but they really enjoy it and would love to go more often. Emily wants to try snowboarding next time, we'll see. We keep telling them how it is out in California and Utah and how much they would love it. We went to Appalachian Ski Mountain, which is great because it is 2 hours away, but it is really just a hill. The picture of the 2 kids is at the TOP of the "mountain"... we could see our car in the parking lot the whole time, not quite the same as the slopes in CA or UT, but perfect for the kids at this age. The day turned out beautiful and we all had a great time.
